Weekly Photo Challenge: Foreign_HongKong
October 27, 2012The old and the new struck me in Hongkong. Maintaining traditional HongKong culture and keeping the old amidst modern and highly Westernized physical features kept me in awe of this small, yet beautiful and colorful island.

To see bamboos used in construction even in the most modern of the high rise buildings in Hong Kong surprised me because in our country where bamboos grow in abundance, bamboos are rarely used. Coconut lumber, and now because of practicality and cost efficiency they say, iron bars are used.
