Since the subjects of my films are focused on the “special people”, I might as well have a page for the newest and very important law on Persons with Disabilities:
AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7277, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “MAGNA CARTA FOR DISABLED PERSONS,” AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
It was approved and signed into law by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on April 30, 2007.

The hospital im having my dialysis does not honor the mandated 20% discount but merely 5% only. Some pharmacy does not honor the PWD discount.
You may report them to the National Council on Disability Affairs located at NCDA Building, Isidora Street, Barangay Holy Spirit, Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines 1127. Or email them at council@ncda.gov.ph Tel.: (632) 9326422. You may also inform the PWD focal person in your city about it.
tanong ko lang po sa nakakaintindi, pag sinabing “IRR OF REPUBLIC ACT #9442 AMENDING RA #7277 at halos pareho ang nakalagay ang nawala lang eh ung “diaper” may posibilidad ba na error lang un or talagang tinanggal?
Kung amendment na, malamang tinanggal unless nawawala sa konteksto ung ipinalit. Di sila pwede basta-basta mag-alis na lang laluna pag importante yung tatanggalin at mababago nito nang malaki ang kahulugan ng pinalitan.
in a private hospital, ok lang ba na di maka avail of discount ang PWD kapag itinatransfer ang patient to other hospital? di ba dapat discouted talaga ang PWD sa hospital bill payments and maybe until professional fee into 20%. Please have an immediate answer and thanks.
Sa pagkakaalam ko dapat bigyan sila ng discount dahil may karapatan sila tulad ng mga senior citizens. Yung sa professional fee sa Philhealth binabawas yata. Para makatiyak, punta kayo sa PDAO office nyo para maka-assist sa inyo. Magandang umaga ho!
Hi. would like to ask why some establishments (drugstores in particular, specifically here in front of PGH) do not accept Certification from CSWDO from our loacality that my son is a member of PWD and that his I.D. and purchase card is still on process. is it right fro them not to honor the certification and for pwd’s not to avail the discount?
No! They have to honor your son’s ID. You file your complaint to the NCDA [National Commission on Disability Affairs] because that is a violation of PWD rights.
