Showing of “A MI PATRIA /INANG-BAYAN_FSL Version” in December?

November 16, 2011

The screening of A MI PATRIA, the anthology or omnibus film containing the Filipino Sign Language interpretation of Dr. Jose Rizal’s poems originally scheduled to show during the CSB 17th Deaf Fest 2011 will not push through. The date is yet to be decided by DLS-CSB SDEAS Organizing Committe. The postponement is due to the unavailability of a venue that can accommodate larger number of people. Instead of showing the film on Rizal this Friday, Nov. 11, SILENT ODYSSEY will be shown instead at 6 pm. Venue: CSB Auditorium. The showing will possibly be on the first week of December.

This year’s theme is: Deaf Heritage: Remembering the Past, Celebrating the Present, Creating the Future. The celebration started last Monday, November 14 and will end on Saturday, November 19, 2011.  One of the main objectives of the celebration is to show an interconnected Deaf community by means of festive activities participated in by different Deaf schools. A line-up of activities are scheduled during this week of celebration that will culminate with a Cultural Night presentation.
