ALYANA Goes to Tacloban and Ormoc Cities

Early morning Dang Koe, Chair Emeritus of Autism Society Philippines texted me to ask if we were going together to Tacloban City this Friday afternoon as I was still editing Kingpin Asiong. Yesterday was target day or supposedly the last day of editing the film. I had to move my flight for tomorrow. I am not ready with my materials yet. For the past several days I have been working on Asiong trying my best to beat the Sept. 15 deadline. I have many things to do from this day onwards. However, they finished shooting at nearly 5 or 6 a.m. today, Sept. 16. Yuka asked me to see the “happening” or the party for the production staff. I went to watch the last scene that they were shooting instead — Asiong dating Fe. Tikoy looked very, very tired. I met Yul Servo and Baron Geisler outside the room where the party is being held as I was intending to return to the editing room. I know Yul from several years back when we went to Belgium to attend the international festival there. I only met Baron during the early days of shooting Asiong Salonga 2011 in Pagsanjan. Baron looked tipsy, nevertheless, he recognized me.

Yuka and I viewed the materials at around 10 a.m. or before I left the studio and advised him as to where to insert the materials. I have been at the studio since 6.30 Thursday night and had to wait until 10 pm before I could work because Rocky, Scenema’s in-house editor had to finish his Behind The Scenes presentation. He was using the machine that I am using so I had to wait.

Anyhow, it was only later this afternoon that I finally got the time to check my schedules in Tacloban and Ormoc. It will be my first time to go to Ormoc. In Tacloban, ALYANA is scheduled at 1 pm, 3 pm and 6 pm. Venue is BALYUAN CONVENTION Center in Magsaysay Blvd., Tacloban City. In Ormoc, it is is scheduled at 1 pm at the NEW ORMOC City Hall, Multi Purpose Hall. Dang will be giving her lecture before the screenings of Alyana. The lecture and the screenings are part of the Autism Awareness Campaign of ASP.
