Found this blog by John LaRue, a graphic designer/production editor quite interesting! Especially so, because Manila Kingpin’s music track especially the last part quite wrecked Tikoy’s heart! The vision of the director is so complete while in the creative process, that taking over the baton from him is nothing less but devastating.

“It takes a lot of people to make a movie. There are actors and actresses, directors, producers, gaffers, best boy grips, editors, screenwriters, foley artists, and tons more. Unfortunately for those behind the scenes, usually only actors/actresses and directors gain any sort of fame. Kung Hei Fat Choi!

At least, I feel a little better today. A Happy Chinese New Year’s Day for me. Kung Hei Fat Choi! means May Prosperity Be With You. But I wish you all not only prosperity but good health above everything!

Yesterday, I wasn’t able to attend the Autism Walk 2012, a practice that I always do annually. Being sick automatically disables me from my work. Early morning today, I got up feeling better so I was able to work on the A La Juventud Filipina segment of Mr. Fernando Ramos. A Spanish national, he is a visiting professor at the UP Department of European Languages. With the Silent Steps performance his reading was simultaneously edited in. One or the other functions as an inset. I am just to layin the music of JM Diego and Roselle Pineda. Their music for this particular segment is their second best composed music for the omnibus film, A mi Patria / Inang-Bayan. Ultimo Adios music still ranks for me as the best among the lot.

The walk serves as the opening salvo of the week-long celebration of the Autism Consciousness Week. From the initial 2,000 participants of the first walk at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ complex in 2007, ASP is now expecting more that 5,000 individual to join the walk that will start at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia on January 22, Sunday at 8AM. Spanish Version_A mi Patria

i have started working again on the Spanish version of A mi Patria. Am done with Anna Maria Yglopaz segment [Canto de Maria Clara]; will be working on Ultimo Adios read by Chair Wystan de la Peña. Both are from the UP Department of European Languages. I have yet to fix A Filipinas by Dr. Belen Tangco. Hopefully, I’ll finish the whole thing this week—with the Silent Steps incorporated and the subtitles in Filipino placed.
